FWDay2018, Vodafone New Zealand know that workplace flexibility is central to ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace.

June 6, 2018 by Vodafone NZ Leave a Comment

Vodafone New Zealand know that in creating an inclusive workplace, flexibility delivers a range of benefits – not only to their people, but to their customers too.  What does this look like in practice?  Well, let’s take a look at what smarter ways of working help Vodafone to achieve in Christchurch:

It’s not only about creating flexibility within individual roles and teams, it’s about embracing flexibility in how we design and use office spaces, our communications, and technology to achieve a work-life integration and way of working that will ensure Vodafone’s continued success and ensure that our employees achieve their perfect work-life balance and love where they work.
At Vodafone, we’re also helping our customers to achieve greater flexibility through the products we offer, and we want our people to be able to experience those technologies too, so whether that’s accessing your emails on your phone whilst on the run, or using your mobile broadband to log in and work from home – we’re authentic and excited about our broader impact on the future of work.
We recognise that to offer flexible working options has benefits for the environment, our employees and for Vodafone.  Just some of the types of flexibility we offer that are popular in our business include:
  • Condensed work weeks (40 hours in 4 days)
  • Condensed work fortnights (80 hours in 9 days)
  • Working from home regularly
  • Time off in lieu
  • Part-time hours
  • Changed core hours

Flexibility is particularly important to us when it comes to attracting and supporting women.  We’d love you to find out more about the policies and programs we offer, as part of our Connected She Can initiative, including our flagship ReConnect program.

ReConnect supports people for the first six months as they reintegrate into the workforce after an extended career break. ReConnect offers employment in the business, the ability to work a 4-day week, but get paid for five during the programme and relevant training to help your transition back into the workforce.
