GPT Group, one of Australia’s most respected property companies, joins FlexCareers!

GPT - FlexCareers

FlexCareers is delighted to welcome The GPT Group (GPT) to Australia’s largest network of progressive, flexible employers.

As one of the most respected property companies in Australia, GPT boasts a $20 billion portfolio that includes some of the country’s most recognisable retail and commercial buildings.

GPT offers a broad range of careers across its core business, including property development management, retail leasing and funds management, as well as a wide variety of corporate and leadership roles.

A top 50 ASX-listed and multi award-winning business, GPT is also leading the way with respect to flexible working and gender diversity.

GPT’s CEO Bob Johnston is an original member of the Property Council of Australia’s Male Champions of Change  (PMCC),  Bob Johnston is also a Workplace Gender Equality Agency Pay Equity Ambassador and  strong advocate for flexible working and supporting women in leadership.

Bob Johnston explains that “flexible working is essential to attract and retain female talent, however, we don’t want this to be about women. We want men to adopt flexible working too – because only then will we take away the stigma that working flexibly means you’re not serious about your career.”

And GPT is certainly leading from the front, with 19 per cent of its permanent employees already accessing formal flexible working options. With support in place for managers to implement and maintain flexibility within their teams, GPT hopes many more take up the opportunity.

GPT also has outstanding support in place for working parents to ensure that both men and women can balance work and family commitments in the way that best suits them. Key benefits include:

  • 16 weeks paid primary carer parental leave;
  • Ongoing Superannuation Guarantee (SG) contributions during periods of unpaid parental leave;
  • A Childcare Allowance for 12 months upon return to work; and
  • Parental leave coaching and a Working Parents Group to support people through the transition out of and back into the workforce.

All of the above, coupled with an excellent employee benefits package and strong focus on learning and development, including a non-negotiable minimum of 50 per cent female participation for all GPT talent development programs, makes GPT a great place to work.

We are so excited welcome GPT to the FlexCareers community and look forward to bringing you a broad range of career opportunities in arguably one of Australia’s most exciting industries.

You can find out more about GPT and browse available flexible jobs by visiting their FlexCareers employer microsite here.
